Construction Process



Step 1: Initial Project Consultation & Specification Collection

MakeOver Plus first opportunity to meet with our clients face-to-face is in their home or business. We spend time concentrating on our clients’ desires, ideas and concepts for the improvements. After discussing the client’s objectives, MakeOver Plus professionals will explain what you can expect and will walk you through the typical project design/bid process. Once the primary specification objectives are defined, the cost becomes a focal point to ensure we create a scope that conforms to the targeted budget. Upon completion of the initial consultation and specification collection, MakeOver Plus will have the information required to begin the assembly of a comprehensive scope, design and cost of your project.

Step 2: Design & Planning

The client will work with our Team to review build or design ideas and make interior finish selections such as carpet, tile, cabinetry, counter tops, fixtures, etc. During the design and planning meeting, we create a three dimensional view of the remodel that will bring your design to life. Once all project requirements, such as project scope, timeline and costs, are established. No matter the scope of the project, MakeOver Plus’s goal is to ensure the client obtains the exact design, finishes and cost they desire before a final contract is drafted and we move to the next step. Our Business & Home Improvement team will then provide the client with a fixed price contract, including a detailed scope of work and specifications, as well as a construction schedule.

Step 3: Implementation & Guarantee

Prior to construction commencement, our Project Manager will do a pre-construction site-walk to reconfirm scope-to-buildability. MakeOver Plus will then acquire and submit all the necessary documentation for required building permit(s). Every MakeOver Plus project is assigned to one of our Construction Teams, led by a dedicated Project Superintendent. The Project Superintendent is on site regularly to ensure a problem-free project from start to finish. The Project Superintendent will routinely schedule meetings with the client to guarantee that expectations are not only being met but exceeded; resulting in completion of every project on budget and on-time! MakeOver Plus provides an unmatched, one-year material and workmanship warranty/guarantee on all of our work. Our clients also receive construction related documents (drawings and documentation regarding product warranty, maintenance information, product names, colors, etc.).
